Where you’re from, and where you are now?
I am from New York and am currently based in Brussels.
What you were doing before joining UNICEF?
I was an AI researcher at UN Global Pulse, the Secretary-General's Innovation Lab.
What has been your biggest success in your role at UNICEF?
I just started, but I'd consider my work successful if I can empower others to use AI to support their work, and to better understand its risks and limitations.
What was your dream job when you were a child?
I actually wanted to work for the UN, but I thought I'd be a diplomat. I tried to learn different languages since I thought that would be my ticket in. I did not think I'd wind up here via data science!
What is your hidden skill / talent?
I swam and played soccer in high school, and while I was never a very competitive athlete, I did get pretty good at baking chocolate chip cookies for our games/meets :)
