I source startups for the Venture Fund.
Where you’re from, and where you are now?
I’m from Germany, currently bouncing between London (where my boyfriend lives), Stockholm (home of our Office of Innovation), and my hometown near Munich.
What you were doing before joining UNICEF?
I’m a strategy consultant at McKinsey, where I helped large companies tackle all sorts of strategic questions—from launching new products and building business models to improving sales strategies. Now, I’m excited to dedicate a few months to UNICEF as part of my social leave.
What has been your biggest success in your role at UNICEF?
I’m still early in my UNICEF journey, so I’ll probably have an even better answer in a few months! For now, I’m thrilled to be involved from the start in sourcing our femtech investments. Presenting insights from our ongoing femtech calls at a conference in London was a particularly exciting highlight.
What was your dream job when you were a child?
I’ve always been fascinated by the speed and efficiency of super-fast supermarket cashiers—some might say I still try to make everything just as efficient!
What is your hidden skill / talent?
I recently completed my yoga teacher training—so I’m pretty good at balancing life (and maybe a few tricky poses too).
