Where you’re from and where you are now?
Manila, Philippines and in Stockholm now.
What you were doing before joining UNICEF?
I made the leap from the private sector to international development a little over 10 years ago, starting off as a knowledge management practitioner within the UN system, with assignments in Manila and New York. The thing with managing knowledge is that if you're lucky enough to gain a lot of it, you get to expand enough skills to skedaddle over to other fields of practice like technology for development and digital innovation—as I have.
What has been your biggest success in your role at UNICEF?
Have just been with the Venture Fund for a year so it's still salad days.
What was your dream job when you were a child?
At one point I wanted to be a princess who was also a detective AND a doctor. And a pilot.
What is your hidden skill/talent?
I was a hip-hop dancer many many moons ago (about 8,000).
