Through the development of CHECKIA, Ramata and her team are committed to addressing one of the most critical challenges facing the Sahel today: the spread of misinformation and its impact on social cohesion, public trust, and youth engagement. By combining ethical artificial intelligence, local expertise, and a deep understanding of the regional context, CHECKIA aims to provide accessible and reliable tools that empower communities to make informed decisions.

With the support of the UNICEF Venture Fund, this initiative represents a step toward building resilient information ecosystems that protect vulnerable populations, strengthen trust in credible information, and promote responsible innovation. Rooted in local realities and driven by social impact, CHECKIA aspires to contribute to a Mali where technology serves truth, inclusion, and sustainable development.
